Jonathan Eig’s comprehensive biography of Muhammad Ali fought off stiff competition last night to win the Times Biography of the Year award at the 16th Sports Book Awards.
The book now faces a bout for the overall title of Sports Book of the Year, which is determined by a public ballot.
